2014 Ford Escape Titanium Suv I-4 Cyl Review

2014 Ford Escape Titanium Review: A Small SUV With Premium Features and Expensive Problems

The 2014 Ford Escape Titanium is the flagship model at $13,471 to $sixteen,280. The Titanium offers good luxury, but is still plagued by awful reliability. With more problems than competing SUVs, and a brusque lifespan of 150,000 miles, we recommend buyers wait elsewhere.

VehicleHistory Image

There are luxury features including high-terminate leather and trim commonly plant in more expensive SUVs, as well as better technology than some rivals.

Reliability ratings are still depression similar to the other Escape models, and safety ratings are worse than the competitors.

Positive Owner Reviews

Reliable, user-friendly and safe ford escape.

I bought my 2014 ford escape used 2 years agone with 36,000 miles on information technology. To date I now accept 57,000 miles on it and have absolutely no issues with information technology. I have driven through several snowfall storms and it is very responsive. In bad weather condition when others are stuck or sliding, this auto it very reliable. I wanted the leather seats of the titanium trim, due to dog pilus and full general maintenance, but practise non like leather in the common cold. The heated seats are easy to accommodate and warm up quickly and retain the heat for a while later on I turn the car off which is dainty in the winter. I besides like the convenience and safety of the redundancy camera and alarm tones when something is behind me. This is the perfect size SUV for me. I have driven much larger SUVs in the by, merely this one handles better. I feel like information technology is so much easier to maneuver in tight spots for parking etc., but still large enough to hold a decent amount of cargo. I accept fit big chairs and even a soda machine in the back of the escape.

My family and I are very happy with my vehicle.

I really don't have an issues with my car, except that I take never had any issues with windshields with my other vehicles and accept had to take the windshield replaced twice on this vehicle. Information technology is reliable, it has but e'er non started on extremely common cold days (-lx degrees). It is comfortable and has many modern features like the smart screen.

Ford escape defines a great car.

I really similar this machine. It is comfortable even on long trips. Within technical features are all I'd ever demand. It handles really well in all weather conditions, including ice and snow. Equally of yet, this six twelvemonth old car (41,000 mi) has not needed any repairs other than regular maintenance. I think it will demand new tires and brake pads soon (according to the owner's transmission).

Nice big screen!! A smashing family vehicle !!

We love our escape, the screen is a nifty size and I love how big the camera is. It also beeps to warn you of crossing traffic or if you car is getting too shut to an object. It's so helpful to have a trunk that opens automatically. It'due south a great reliable car. We haven't had any issues with it. The windshield wipers come up on automatically when it rains which is crawly and y'all can still adjust the blades to how fast you need it. Under the passenger seat in the back row is a pocket-size compartment in the floor for extra storage ( which helps when you lot have kids). The escape is a great motorcar for a family .

The Ford Escape 2014 is very user friendly and only a genuinely adept family car

I haven't had whatsoever major problems with this machine. Speed builds up nicely I beloved driving it. Very reliable considering it tells us what's going on with the car all the fourth dimension with the screen features I know how many miles I accept before my gas tank is full and if annihilation in my auto needs maintenance. The light feature under the seats are cool too ! Seats are e'er comfy and there is plenty of room for me and my family unit for trips ! Great car !

2014 Ford Escape Titanium with all the extras!

I've owned information technology for about 4 years with nothing issues, other than a apartment tire. I love all the extras such as heated seats, panoramic sunroof, and ambience lighting. Information technology gets pretty skilful gas mileage for a small SUV. I feel much safer in an SUV plus information technology comes with the 911 assist.

I really love driving my Escape!

My Escape is a very comfortable vehicle. Information technology is responsive, and I feel rubber when I'm driving it. The car includes heated leather seats, traffic sensors, rear camera, availability of Sirius Radio, dual comfort zones, and GPS. When I am driving it, I am sitting up high enough to exist able to see the road around me more conspicuously, yet information technology is non difficult to enter or exit the auto. Overall, this is one of my favorites of all the cars I've endemic.

Our 2014 Cherry red ford escape and why we like it.

Our engine light keeps coming on for no reason. The automobile runs great. And then we don't know why this happens. Information technology has all the new tech. Nosotros never had before and that is a plus. My wife likes the sparkle red color it stands out. We are happy with it. And will proceed with this make down the route

Negative Owner Reviews

Heated seats are wonderful but GPS is terrible.

Rear torso - door feature does not work. Vehicle makes lots of air noise. Does not run smoothly- rather jerks all the time. GPS - accept to purchase new every twelvemonth and it works poorly sending you in the wrong direction. Lots of bells and whistles but I wish the nuts features work and extra vehicle coverage always denied.

Gets me where I need to go, but that is it… and sometimes not fifty-fifty that.

Non the most comfortable, technical issues since a few months after purchase, a piffling too narrow for comfort in comparison to previous vehicle, parking sensors no longer sound and cannot figure out why it is happening, parasitic drain on car battery.

A overnice vehicle if you do not bulldoze a lot or do not have kids.

The vehicle driver seat is uncomfortable for long periods of time. It has large blind spots and does not accept much room to behave anything. Car seats fit but seats take to be adjusted to non interferes causing the driver and rider to be uncomfortable.

Ford escape: fun interior but cramped.

The interior of the front of the auto is well idea out and comfortable. The back seats even so are very cramped and do not go slap-up airflow. The trunk is spacious enough for decent amounts of storage. The engine block is cramped and has very convoluted space usage making simple repairs and melody ups hard and time consuming.

2014 Ford Escape a disruptive maintenance effect vehicle

Overnice that I haven't really had to supplant brakes every bit oft equally I had on previous vehicles. Unfortunately had issues right after extended warranty expired. Other things were covered. Maintenance is expensive only does non occur oftentimes. Wish that gas mileage was a petty better. Roomy. Cargo opening smaller than previous versions

Neat, performance car that I would recommend.

Personally this automobile works really well. I have had my car for a while and runs nicely. Nonetheless, it does pull on its own, similar information technology adds speed to itself when I turn or move my wheel the slightest. Withal information technology is controls are really comfortable and I am able to control it easier.

Compact SUV with great features.

It is a nice motorcar with bully features I exercise not like how compact it feels. I am used to a minivan. I like the nuance controls on the steering wheel and the heated seats rock. The backup cameras is great. The HVAC controls are a fleck confusing at first merely you figure it out.

Great for families with children.

Comfort is great, reliability in the other hand is an event. After only having this machine for a yr, we've had to supersede a ton of stuff underneath the vehicle such equally intermission, tire rods, etc. The heated seats are swell and information technology is very spacious in the back.

Bang-up gas mileage and comfortable to drive.

I really like the infinite inside of my car. It drives smoothly and is relatively low maintenance. Information technology has a lot of features that I do non use, but I would purchase this kind of vehicle once again. I would choose a unlike color. It is practiced on gas, merely has very lilliputian pick upwards. I like a vehicle with a lilliputian more than get-upwardly-and-go.

I appreciate the prophylactic features, the modest alarm light in the side mirrors when at that place is a automobile adjacent to me when driving, the alarm sounds when approaching an item both backing up and at the front stop. The just trouble I have had with this vehicle is a rattling noise in the back. The lateral control artillery were changed to fix the problem but the rattling persists. The performance is great information technology has great take off and smoothen ride. It is a very comfy vehicle and has heated seats, Bluetooth engineering, navigation system, leather interior. I feel very rubber driving in this car with my 2 year one-time and information technology has a decent amount of space in the trunk. I am all about music and so I dearest the Bluetooth features so I tin can sync my telephone and play my apple music.

Cool features of 2014 ford escape.

I similar that the vehicle is 4 wheel drive, which is great for the snow, information technology lets yous know when y'all need an oil change and if your tire force per unit area is depression. It has lights on the inside of the vehicle that you lot can modify the color of and heated seats. I likewise like that it has a moonroof fifty-fifty though I practice not use information technology also often.

If you are looking for a family auto look no further!

I beloved my ford escape. Information technology has great gas mileage and runs great. It is a 2014 and nosotros bought it used. We accept had piddling no problems besides replacing tires. The truck is actually spacious too as the back seat. I have the titanium edition then information technology is got a lot of bells and whistles. Bully radio, heated seats and steering wheel controls. Which I honey so I can focus on driving verses messing with the radio or anything else.
